David Guetta's New Track - "Dangerous (feat. Sam Martin)"

David Guetta, the famous French DJ, released his new single “Dangerous (feat. Sam Martin)” on October 7th, but was met with mixed critical reactions. To some, this highly anticipated single falls short of its expectations and I think there’s more than one reason why. Firstly, it starts off sounding like a tune you’d find in some ancient black-and-white movie or video game. Secondly, this repetitive beat just repeats throughout the whole song. Lastly, it’s less David Guetta and more Sam Martin. It almost seems more apt to regard it as a Sam Martin track that features David Guetta as a guest artist, rather than the other way around.However, I wouldn’t disregard Guetta just yet. As a song overall, it’s pretty good. The beat will actually grow on to you, and Sam Martin isn’t too bad either. Personally, I feel the main debate is that it doesn’t seem like David Guetta contributed much to it, and it definitely doesn’t feel like EDM. Moreover, “Dangerous” is to be featured in his upcoming album Listen, of which three other tracks have also been released. Amongst these new tracks, "Lovers on the Sun" and "Shot Me Down" are particularly great, both channeling that distinctive Guetta sound and living up to the Guetta name. So, in the end his upcoming album still looks promising!
