Tennis recently released their third album, Ritual in Repeat, keeping their airy sound, but adding a little more pang. The duo of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley open the album with heavy drums in both “Night Vision” and “Never Work for Free”, which is a realm they’ve never entered in their previous albums. The songs start off with snare, but then bloom into colorful melodies. The new album is far more emotional than Young & Old, Tennis’ sophomore album. More songs seem to be based on anger, which actually works their favor. However, pre-Ritual in Repeat Tennis fans worry not; the album still features Tennis’ ethereal guitar riffs and Moore’s voice can still put you in a trance. The album seamlessly transitions from track to track, while still changing the moods of the songs. Some key tracks are: “Night Visions”, “Never Work for Free”, “I’m Callin’” and “Timothy”. Ritual In Repeat skillfully preserves the essential Tennis sound while adding more depth than previous albums.Check out "I'm Callin'" in the Soundcloud embed below![embed]https://soundcloud.com/tennisinc/im-callin[/embed]
