The Shadowboxers - 'Red Room'

The Shadowboxers

The ShadowboxersRed RoomVanguard

While the Shadowboxers got their start performing right outside my window on Emory’s McDonough field, they’ve surmounted their black jumpsuit talents with their debut album.Red Room is 14 songs of smooth-talking boys that you can’t help but bounce to. When you get down to it, all the songs are about being in love, out of love or between the sheets, and they want everyone to know it.The band draws from Maroon 5 musically, and, as they’ve said, they’d like to open for Maroon 5 (even though the Shadowboxers would completely steal the show, especially with “He’s on the Move”).Whether you’re zooming down the highway at night with streaks of street lamps in your rearview mirror or you’re sweating through a shirt on a too-hot summer day, this album is the soundtrackyou want to be living.[Editor's Note: Check out this cover of Justin Timberlake's "Pusher Love Girl," that got high praise from JT himself.]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLHkDBrlUIs
